Hi Class,
As I'm sure you all remember, this Tuesday April 10th your Small Business Plans are due! Be ready to hand them in first thing on Tuesday. Remember too that your presentations are due next Monday the 16th. You will not have anymore class time to work on them but you have plenty of time outside of class if there are any last minute changes or things to get done. Be prepared to present them in class on Monday the 16th!
This week we will be starting Ch.4 in the textbook, which focuses on Business and the Community. This is one of my favorite chapters because it really ties everything we've been studying thus far together and exemplifies just how important business is to our economy. This chapter you'll learn about things like: gentrification, GDP, Standard of Living and Quality of Life, see how Canada ranks, as well as learn about the different phases of the business cycle, and just what the Great Depression really was and the effect it had on business and the community.
Please ensure you're in class everyday and please bring your textbook don't forget about Current Events if you are the ones presenting this week!
