Week of Jan. 23-27th

Hi Everyone,

Well, this is my last post of the semester for your class. First off, if you have any late assignments, Monday is the absolute LAST DAY to hand them in. Secondly, and more importantly, I want to remind you that the Final Exam, worth 20% of your course grade, is also MONDAY JANUARY 23rd! I've posted the Study Tips sheet under "Important Handouts" in case you lost the sheet I gave you on Friday. Please read through all of your notes and practice your calculations for:

You will need a calculator!

• Return on Sales/Profitability
• Simple Interest
• Compound Interest
• Rule of 72

Also, REMEMBER TO BRING:

Please return me!

• Textbook
• Pencil
• Eraser
• Calculator
• 1 sheet of loose leaf paper

You will need all of these things for the final exam, especially a pencil, as you will be answering the questions on a Scantron sheet!

Bring your own drink!

On Tuesday, which is our double block, we will begin watching a movie that is a romantic comedy, that also deals with Credit and Personal Finance! Some of you may have seen it before, but even so, after learning about credit, it should mean a lot more! At lunch time we will celebrate the end of the course by having our "Class of the Month" pizza party!!!  PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN DRINK!!! The school is providing the pizza, but not a drink, so remember to bring your favorite beverage to class. You will have an opportunity to leave the room over the lunch break of course to buy one if you forget. You will also get your Class of the Month Certificates that day as well.

On Wednesday, the very last day of class, we will go over the final exam. I'll have your final exam marks, as well as your final mark for the course ready.


Let me just say 'Thank you' for being such a great bunch to teach this semester. I"ll miss you! I've really enjoyed teaching you and sincerely hope you have a new perspective and understanding of business, the economy, and your role in both! I wish you the best of luck next semester and in the future. I hope I'll get the chance to teach at least some or all of you again!
