Week of Mar 26 - Mar.30th

Hi Everyone!

Before the break you wrote your Ch.3 Tests and then you started watching a video called 'The Seven Sins of the Marketplace', which was all about the misleading tactics advertisers use to lure consumers into buying! Upon your return we will finish watching that video.

If you were away on Friday March 9th and missed the Ch.3 Test, be prepared to write it upon your return!!! There are no excuses! Also, if you have missed any other tests, you need to make arrangements with me ASAP to make them up. Any longer and you will miss the re-write opportunity.

I have finished marking your Ch.3 Tests and most of your Consumer Behavior projects, but couldn't take the larger projects home with me over the break. I'll do my best to finish marking the rest this week so I can get your marks to you very soon.

This week you will be assigned a Small Business Plan assignment that in the past has always been a favorite project of students, as it allows a lot of creative thought on your parts. It ties in nicely with Unit 1 as a cumulative learning assignment, since we just finished learning about the different types of business, different types of legal ownerships, their respective pros and cons, as well as financing options! I'll explain it in detail in class on Monday!

On Friday I"m pleased to announce that we will be having a guest speaker come to class. Please be on time and be on your best behavior! ;) Since we are having this speaker on Friday, that day's current event presentation will be pushed a day earlier to Thursday instead of Friday. Since you've had the 2 weeks over the break to look at current events, I don't see this being a problem!

Week of Mar.5 - Mar.9th

Hi Everyone,

This is just a quick reminder that on Thursday March 8th your Consumer Behavior projects are due. With the 3 day job action, along with the extension I had already given you, there should be absolutely no reason your projects are not done and handed in on Thursday! DO NOT procrastinate! Make good use of the extra time you have so that you don't have homework to do over spring break!

On Thursday in class we will correct the Ch.3 Review questions that were assigned last Friday so ensure they are done. We will review in class for the Ch.3 Test on Friday March 9th. I want to get this test done before the break while the information is still fresh! That way 'spring break' will truly be a nice clean break and we'll start on the next chapter when we return.

On Friday also, we will have our two current event presentations so Hannah and Trina, be ready! :)
